Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August 1965, is an American actress. She is best known for portraying the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also remembered for her recurring character in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are in addition to her numerous. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapy therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has openly declared her Jewish roots and stated that she participates in Passover seders.
